Azealia Banks stands by her comments about Cardi B: “The concept of me ‘attacking’ other women is a hard one to process”

Entertainment OneIn her Instagram Story, Azealia Banks is defending her recent comments about Cardi Bwho in she called an “illiterate, untalented rat” and a “caricature of a black woman” in an interview.

The Instagram Story message is only meant to be active for 24 hours.

According to a screenshot taken by Billboard, she writes, “Speaking one’s mind doesn’t equal activism. Everyone is flawed. I simply see things from MY eyes and MY point of view.:

“When I speak on anything it is purely to open the discussion for people who may or may not be thinking the same things.”

She continues, “The concept of me ‘attacking’ other women is a hard one to process because it’s subjective and purely an analysis of what YOU see.”

“But I will say that brushing the core of the things I say off as pure negativity is not at all reflective of the REAL, insightful and objective free-thinker I am. I’ve been at this free thinking s*** for a LONG TIME.”

“When I ignite these discussions surrounding black cultural affairs, it’s to make sure that the things we are consuming and validating are acceptable and worthy of inclusion into our culture, psyche, and lifestyles,” Azealia adds.

As previously reported, Cardi B deleted her Instagram account after taking note of Azealia’s diss against her, which led to a social media war between the two.

Before erasing the account, Cardi responded to Azealia’s jabs on her Instagram page by writing, “A woman who constantly finds joy in belittling black woman (BeyoncéRihannaSkai JacksonRemy Ma), can’t try and stand for them because it’s convenient!”

“The difference between me and you, I’ve never pretended to be or represent nobody but myself.”
