DJ Khaled had a major key surprise to a number of statistics graduates at UC Berkeley’s commencement ceremony this Thursday: himself.
The “I’m the One” entertainer showed up to the event during Translation CEO Steve Stoute‘s commencement speech, singing his hit track “All I Do Is Win.”
After the brief impromptu performance, Khaled gave some words of wisdom and encouragement to the students.
He said, “This is so inspiring and such a motivational situation today because when I was hearing [Stoute’s] speech, everything he’s saying is facts and it’s true. They didn’t believe in me at one time in my lifetime. But I had to bet on myself and look at me now: I’m on the stage with young kings and queens and a generation of geniuses that’s gonna run the world.”
Khaled also posted a message on his Instagram account about the experience, writing, “Congrats to the young world the world is yours @nas voice ! #wethebest #GRATEFUL @ucberkeley.”
The 41-year-old superstar’s hit album, Major Key, is nominated in the category of Top Rap Album at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
You can watch present an award during the ceremony, which airs live on ABC Sunday night starting at 8 p.m. ET.
